NEWS

Ah, the 25th already. Hey, you know the conservatives won the election on Monday and while that's not something I'm particularly excited about, I'm sure that it'll be a short, even tempered run. Hopefully we'll get a more liberal government the next time around.
Well, I'm still hard at work on several projects and deadlines loom as ever (actually I'm very fortunate to be wroking with several cool people and when we throw around ideas, we tend to stretch things out...) Regardless, I'm back to work, so I'll see you soon!

Ah Stuff!

Amos Trent won't be comicg out from Image. I don't know if this had anything to do with a comment I made about Erik Larsen's lack of appreciation for Chris Ware's latest on Chris Butcher's blog, but I doubt it. Probably have a full schedule or whatever. That's fine, I know it's a good piece of work and if Chris and I had bigger names, it'd have been picked up already. As it stands, it's still available for that lucky publisher, so if you have an opening on your schedule and you publish comic books, give me a shout. For that matter I have a baseball romance with Dino Caruso that's still waiting for the right home. Anyway...

Brian Hibbs of Comix Experience has a new "Tilting at Windmills" column up at Newsarama. Very interesting and informative. I learn something new about this industry everyday...

Now for some art:

This is a sample page for something I hope to be working on soon...

Creating the tradition

Here's page 2. I'm not sure exactly what the plan is for "Against the Wall"... right now we're working on obtaining publisher support. I think I'd like to release it on the web (in a .pdf format) to build some support and if we can't get a publisher behind us, do a POD thing, with a small print run we can sell at cons and such (also, it'd be a swell way to re-introduce publishers to the concept, as in "Hey, we finished the book, and we've sold this many independently - why not help us reach a mass audience.") In the mean time, I thought it'd be nice to show everyone some pages, to maybe get some opinions about the story... a preview, if you will. I don't know how many pages you'll all get to see (I'll have to discuss that with Dino) but I imagine it'll be enough t give you a taste of what we've got. and if you like it, by all means, drop us a line. Encouragement is always appreciated!

How about every second day?

Who knew this'd be this hard? It's because I don't really have anything to say. Oh well, let's see, I'll give you some art: Here's the cover and first page of "Against the Wall", a grahic novel I'm doign with the very talented writer Dino Caruso.

Ha Ha

Yeah, I knew I'd screw it up. Oh well, I'll just ahve to give myself a do-over!

First resolution
